Shelle Edits

Edits of Shawn and Belle (as portrayed by Jason Cook and Kirsten Storms). The edits contain all of Shawn's scenes and all of Belle's scenes, not just when they are together.

The edits were made direct to DVD from either tape (mostly 1st generation) or DVD. The DVDs are in NTSC format so can be played worldwide. Some are also available in Pal format. They were made using the highest quality recording mode, so each DVD runs for about one hour.

Edits from May 16th 2001 - January 14th 2002 are also available (view details). These were made from tape, and I am now working on replacing them with new edits made from DVD which are slightly better quality. The original DVDs are still available and anyone interested in them can upgrade once the new DVDs are completed so there's no need to wait.

1. August 5th - September 8th 1999
This DVD is Belle only. Scenes from August 10th and September 7th are poor quality.

Marlena and John arrive home from their honeymoon to find a suddenly older Belle and they chat a bit. Belle leaves to go to Mimi's birthday party.
John gives Belle his credit card so she goes shopping with Mimi (played by Doren Fein).
Some guys invite them to a party and Belle rudely rejects them despite Mimi desperately wanting to go. Belle continues shopping with Sami who introduces her to Brandon Walker.
Belle attends the 'combination informal wedding reception / labor day party' at the Kiriakis mansion's pool.
Brandon walks Belle home. She invites him in but Marlena clearly wants him to leave...

2. September 10th - October 15th 1999
October 13th is poor quality.

Belle chats to a friend on the phone and tells her about Brandon.
Belle joins Marlena and Carrie downstairs and lets them know her opinion on the whole Carrie, Austin and Sami triangle.
Belle joins Sami for breakfast at the Java Cafe then heads to the hospital where she 'asks' Nancy Wesley if she can work in pediatrics.
Belle then follows Brandon around the hospital. Mimi (now played by Farah Fath) stops by and Belle tells Nancy that Mimi would also like to volunteer.
After John phones, Belle insists Marlena take her shopping. There's a fun montage where they try on different outfits.
They go home, where John has planned a romantic evening for Marlena.
Mimi wants to see an R-rated movie, but Belle refuses.
Marlena celebrates her birthday with a 50s themed party at the penthouse.
Princess Gina keeps on phoning but won't leave a message with Belle.
Marlena, Roman and Belle worry about Sami and Lucas (who were in a helicopter crash), then go to the hospital once they have been found.
Grandpa Shawn tells Bo that Shawn D has disappeared from boarding school so naturally they assume he has been kidnapped by Stefano DiMera...
Shawn arrives at the closed pub.

3. October 18th - October 29th 1999

Belle bumps into Shawn at the hospital (literally). Everyone waits, worried about Sami and Lucas.
Alice Horton disapproves of Shawn's new look and especially his tattoo.
Shawn tells Belle he is back for good, but she doesn't seem interested. Bo arrives at the hospital and takes Shawn for coffee at the Java Cafe. Shawn enrolls at Salem High.
Shawn speaks to 'Hope' on the phone but doesn't believe she is really his mother.
Philip overhears Mimi telling Belle she wishes Shawn was interested in her.
Shawn fights Jason after he hassles Belle.
The teens go to watch the boxing match between Brandon and Austin.
Bo and Shawn leave in the middle of the boxing match when Princess Gina (pretending to be Hope) calls to say she's home.

4. October 29th - November 11th 1999
November 3rd is second generation. The last short scene on November 10th is poor quality.

Shawn and Bo go the Fancy Face II to meet Hope, but Shawn isn't happy and leaves.
Bo follows after him and they talk.
Belle goes to the hospital after Austin is injured in the boxing match. She leaves to look for Brandon, but finds Shawn instead.
They leave on Bo's motorcycle but then are brought into the police station.
Shawn is put in a cell where Belle comes to visit him before Bo releases him
At the Java Cafe, Shawn and Jason almost fight. Belle invites Shawn to sit with her and Mimi.
Alice Horton and Shawn talk at the Cheating Heart and then at the Horton house where Alice gives Shawn Bo's old leather jacket. Belle and Marlena talk about Brandon and dating.
Belle rehearses inviting Brandon to the school dance in the mirror in her locker. Shawn overhears and finds it funny.

5. November 11th - November 26th 1999

Mimi begs Shawn to go to the dance and he agrees to take her.
Shawn plays basketball with Bo, John and Eric and they talk about marriage and relationships.
Belle asks Brandon if it's okay for a girl to ask a guy out.
Bo and Shawn talk about Hope.
Philip tries to find out who Belle's date is while they are shopping at Salem Place.
Belle looks for Brandon. She eventually asks him out and when he says no, she decides not to go the dance.
Marlena persuades Belle to go to the dance.
Shawn finds out about Philip's betting and tries to warn Belle.
Belle and Mimi arrive at the dance and Belle feels very self-conscious.
Shawn asks Belle is she'll be his date, then Philip announces to everyone that he is fact Belle's mystery date.

6. November 26th - December 13th 1999
The last short scene on November 29th is poor quality. A couple of scenes from December 3rd have some lines across and a couple from December 7th is 2nd generation. The tape is a bit mangled during 2 scenes with Belle and Mimi from December 9th.

Belle and Mimi are about to leave the dance when Shawn dramatically asks Belle to dance.
They dance to the Bee Gees' "More than a woman"
The next day at school, Belle wonders if Philip will ask her out.
Shawn talks to her and then Mimi at Salem place while he watches Belle with Philip.
Everyone gathers at the pub.
Mimi worries that Belle might be interested in Shawn.
Shawn loses a bet with Alice Horton and has to play a tune on the piano and sing.
Belle and Mimi talk about Shawn and then are invited to go skating with Philip.
Shawn talks to Bo about why Hope would want to go to the Horton cabin, then Belle stops by.
They have a 'moment' after Belle trips and they end up holding hands.
Shawn tells Belle he isn't sure that Hope is really his Mom. After Belle leaves with Philip, he talks to 'Hope' and Greta.
Philip and Mimi watch Belle and Shawn at school.
Shawn has a nice talk with Mimi and boosts her confidence.

7. December 13th - December 27th 1999
There are some lines on December 22nd.

Belle suggests to Philip that they should double date with Shawn and Mimi.
Belle is impressed that Shawn convinced Mimi she doesn't need all the accessories.
Belle is at Salem Place with her family. Shawn is miserable because he can't stop thinking about the situation with Hope.
Belle and Philip have a snowball fight while Shawn watches.
Maggie Horton is chosen to turn on the Christmas tree lights and everyone sings carols.
Shawn and Philip are playing video games at the new teen hangout .com (dotcom). Belle and Mimi are there too. Mimi sends Shawn an anonymous cyber message saying: 'It's the season of Three Kings, but you're The King, and I'd love to hear you sing!' but Shawn thinks it is from Belle.
Mr and Mrs Claus (Shawn and Caroline) show up in full costume asking for donations. They ask if Shawn will sing and Belle tells him "I'd love to hear you sing."
Marlena is worried that Hope didn't attend her latest therapy session or call to cancel. Belle tells Marlena and John that Shawn doesn't think 'Hope' is his real mother.
Shawn and Bo are at Salem Place. Belle calls Shawn and invites him to the penthouse where they all talk about his worries about Hope.
Shawn returns to Salem Place and meets Bo and 'Hope'. Marlena calls to talk to 'Hope'.
Bo and Shawn bring presents to the pub.
Belle is volunteering at the hospital. Bo, Gina and Shawn are there too for the Christmas story. Gina is surprised by Doug and Julie but she doesn't recognise them.
After Alice reads the story, John, Marlena and Belle go back to the Brady Pub.
The Horton family hang their ornaments on the Christmas Tree.
Gina proposes to Bo and he accepts. They agree to get married before the end of the year.

8. December 27th 1999 - January 4th 2000

Shawn tells Belle, Marlena and John about the wedding.
Shawn and Belle talk about the future and Belle tells Shawn he can't leave Salem!
Belle meets Chloe at the hospital.
Shawn and Bo argue about the wedding. Mrs Horton admits to Shawn that she thinks something is wrong with 'Hope'.
Shawn goes to talk to Gina before the wedding and sees as she yells at Marlena. He talks to Doug and Julie about wanting to stop the wedding.
Their attempts to stop the wedding fail and so Bo and Gina get married.

9. January 5th - January 12th 2000

At the wedding reception, Shawn and Belle steal Lily Faversham's phone and hit re-dial after Shawn overhears Gina calling someone to check everything is alright...
Gina asks Shawn to talk with her on the terrace. She pulls a gun on him and says to get on the ledge. She then tells him to jump and when he refuses she shoots and Shawn falls over the edge!
Belle worries about Shawn after she can't find him at the party. She sees him balancing on the ledge below.
Shawn almost falls but John and Roman arrive to save him. Everyone heads to the hospital.
At the hospital, Belle worries that Shawn might be paralysed and talks about it with Chloe.
Belle visits Shawn and after he has an itchy foot she is told he'll have a full recovery.
Belle calls Shawn from school and he says he doesn't remember what happened. Later he remembers and tells Doug, Julie and Grandpa Shawn what happened.

10. January 12th - January 21st 2000
January 17th is second generation. The tracking at the start of January 21st is a little off at the bottom of the screen.

Julie tells Shawn that Hope was shot and then Bo tells Shawn he was the one that did it.
Belle tries to think of something to do to cheer up Shawn.
Shawn visits Hope. She tells him he'll get his mother back...
Belle gives Shawn a 'tough boy' action figure and he tells her that Hope tried to kill him.
Hope (Gina) dies. Later Shawn has a dream about Hope.
Belle and Mimi talk about Chloe coming to Salem High. Belle isn't happy about her friends making fun of Chloe. She goes to talk to Marlena then later bumps into Eric.
Shawn, Bo and Roman sail off to try and find somewhere for Hope's ashes.

11. January 21st - February 1st 2000
Scenes from one episode are 2nd generation.

Julie shows up in a helicopter saying Bo has to stop the cremation. She drops a ladder for Bo, but Shawn starts climbing too. He almost falls. At the crematorium, they examine the body. They decide to do DNA tests with Shawn and Greta, to find out who the body really is. Belle is with Marlena at Dotcom. Nancy and Chloe arrive and Nancy introduces Chloe to Belle, unaware they already know each other. Jan, Jason and some others taunt Chloe. Belle tells them Chloe is her best friend, but Chloe isn't as grateful as Belle expects. Belle talks to Marlena about the Hope/Stefano situation and general anxiety. John and Eric arrive and tell them what happened at the crematorium. Shawn and Bo go to talk to Victor. He has news from Stefano's pilot. They head to the crematorium for the DNA results; the body belongs to Princess Gina. At school, Chloe assumes Belle and Shawn are an item. Belle asks Chloe to explain the trig assignment to Chloe. She agrees and they talk a bit about music. Shawn and Bo go to Greta's apartment.
