Eric and Greta Edits

DVD edits of Eric Brady and Greta Von Amberg (as portrayed by Jensen Ackles and Julianne Morris). The edits contain all of Eric's scenes and all of Greta's scenes, not just when they are together.

I've created these DVDs, not only for existing Eric and Greta fans, but also for newer Supernatural / Jensen Ackles fans that didn't watch Days of our Lives at the time, but would now like to see his scenes. Jensen was on the show for three years before leaving during August 2000. These edits are complete and contain all the scenes from his last year at Days of our Lives.

Note: If you're new to Days, you might prefer not to read the descriptions below which contain a lot of spoilers. I'd be happy to give background information on the characters and starting storylines which might otherwise be confusing.

The edits were made direct to DVD in the highest quality mode (each DVD runs for one hour). They are in NTSC format so can be played worldwide. Unless otherwise specified the edits are made from 1st generation (original) NTSC EP tapes.

1. July 19th - August 10th 1999
July 19th is incomplete. August 10th is poor quality.

Greta wants to find out what happened to her mother, Princess Gina. Eric wants to help so they agree to go to France and look for answers. Once in Paris, they bump into Bo and Hope at a posh restaurant. After opening a safety deposit box with a key they found in Gina's compact, Eric and Greta go to Gina's chateau in the countryside. They argue with the caretaker, Kurt, who reluctantly lets them inside. He tells them that the castle is haunted. They look around while Kurt spies on them.

2. August 12th - August 30th 1999
August 27th and 30th have some bits of poor tracking.

Eric and Greta explore the castle. Greta finds a poem that Gina had written for Greta but never given her. Eric scares Greta by hiding and jumping out at her. Kurt tells them that Gina is buried in the grounds. They visit her grave. Eric says the only way they'll know Gina's body is really there is to dig it up. He calls John to help get the body exhumed. Kurt wants to get rid of Eric and Greta. There is a storm, and the lights go out. Greta is scared so goes to sleep next to Eric. After Kurt tells them they can sleep upstairs, they find clothes in Gina's bedroom and get dressed up and dance. While Greta sleeps she is visited by Princess Gina (who escaped from the castle turret where Kurt was keeping her).

3. August 30th - September 17th 1999
August 30th and 31st have some bits of poor tracking. September 7th is poor quality.

Eric can't sleep because he keeps thinking about Nicole. Greta wakes up and screams when she sees Gina, causing her to run away. The next morning, Eric and Greta share a picnic. He tells her that they've been invited to a ball. Greta tries to get a box of chocolates from Eric, ending in a "moment" but interrupted when Eric's phone rings. Returning to the castle, they find Kurt in Greta's room. John arrives at the castle. They exhume the body and the autopsy proves it is really Princess Gina's body. Eric and John comfort Greta but she doesn't believe her mother is really dead.

4. September 20th - September 29th 1999

Eric finds Kurt in Greta's room. After talking to John, Eric and Greta go to the Harimann ball. They run into Stefano. Kurt and his mother (Gina undercover) also go to the ball. Greta introduces Eric to Nathan, a childhood boyfriend. Hope arrives, impersonating Gina. The real princess Gina makes a scene and faints, saying Hope isn't who she says she is. Nathan asks Eric how close he and Greta are. Greta talks to Gina (not knowing who she is).

5. September 29th - October 18th 1999
October 6th is a bit grainy and there are some background crackles on the sound.

Greta is about to lift Gina's veil, but is interrupted by Stefano. Greta and Stefano talk outside. Eric arrives and confronts Stefano. Greta and Eric talk. They are about to kiss, but Greta ruins the moment by accidentally smashing a glass. Back at the castle, Gina's death certificate has arrived. Eric finds an old photo album. He chases Greta to get it back and they kiss. Greta plans to sell the chateau. Bo calls Eric from jail. Eric and Greta talk to Kurt before leaving. They arrive back in Salem. Eric goes to the hospital after his sister Sami was in a helicopter crash.

6. October 19th - October 29th 1999

At the hospital Nicole embraces Eric just as Greta arrives, after talking with Bo. Nicole fantasizes about Eric. In Salem Place Greta gives Eric a digital camera. He asks her out on a date and they later go to Tuscany for dinner. Nicole and Lucas arrive and talk to Greta and Eric individually. After Nicole upsets Greta, she decides to go home and avoids the good night kiss. Eric is called back to Tuscany to get his credit card (set-up by Nicole) and he ends up driving her home. Bo and Greta go to the Cheatin' Heart. Eric arrives and is surprised to see Greta. They play pool. Eric says goodbye to Greta before heading to New York for a job interview. Greta goes to watch a charity boxing match.

7. November 8th - November 30th 1999

Greta runs into "Hope" (actually the real princess Gina) acting strangely. She tells John and Marlena. Eric arrives back from New York. He arranges to meet Greta at the Cheatin' Heart but arriving first talks to Nicole. Eric plays basketball with Bo, John and Shawn. He talks to them about Nicole and Greta. Nicole tells Eric he needs sexy lingerie shots in his portfolio (to help get the job) and she will model for him. Greta leaves the photoshoot and talks to "Hope" at the docks. Nicole seduces Eric and he kisses her before running out. Greta is embarrassed when Eric kisses her in public.

8. November 30th - December 7th 1999
The end of December 7th is 2nd generation.

Greta talks to "Hope" about how she feels inadequate compared to her mother. Eric bumps into Sami in Salem Place. She suggests he goes back to work at Titan which would help her get Will back from Lucas. Greta and "Hope" go to the Java Cafe. Lucas offers Eric a job at Titan (because Nicole ordered him to) which he decides to accept. Roman warns Eric to stay away from Nicole. "Hope" tells Greta that she is princess Gina. She convinces her it is true with an old flower. Gina tells Greta that Hope is dead.

9. December 8th - December 27th 1999

Greta doesn't think it's a good idea for Gina to impersonate Hope. Eric and Nicole are working in the photo studio. He wants to know her secret. Greta stops by the boat to talk to Gina. Eric and Greta go to the Brady Pub on an extended coffee break. He notices that she is distracted. Eric reassures Greta that he doesn't want her to be like Nicole. Eric and Greta have a picnic in the photo studio. Nicole sneaks a condom into the picnic basket which Greta finds. She assumes Eric put it there and runs out. Greta talks to Lily and Sami about Eric at Tuscany. At the pub Greta admits to Eric why she's avoiding him. Gina proposes to Bo in front of everybody.

10. December 28th 1999 - January 7th 2000
During one scene from December 30th there was a problem with the broadcast where it momentarily cuts out and plays from a different tape.

Gina asks Greta to be her maid of honor. Lily slips up and calls Gina by her real name. Marlena tries to talk to Greta. Greta wants to Gina to leave Salem with her instead of marrying Bo. Greta talks to Eric in Salem place. She tells him the wedding will be a disaster. Greta helps Gina get ready for the wedding while everyone tries to talk her out of it. Gina and Bo get married. At the wedding reception, Eric tries to find out why Greta had been acting so different lately. She tells him that she is leaving him, and Salem, for good.

11. January 10th - January 20th 2000
January 17th is poor quality.

Eric comforts Greta who is worried after Gina was shot. They go to the hospital and talk in the chapel. Greta tells Eric that "Hope" is actually her mother. He doesn't belive that she is. Nicole calls Eric to her office, pretending to be upset. Eric has been looking for an apartment for Greta in the classifieds. Greta tells Eric she is still planning to leave town. Eric takes Greta to the hospital after Gina requests to see her. Greta decides to stay in Salem. Nicole tries to make Greta insecure and tells her what an amazing lover Eric is. Eric sees Nicole in Salem Place. Greta talks to Bo before meeting Nicole who takes her to look at an apartment.

12. January 20th - January 28th 2000
January 28th and the end of January 27th are poor quality.

Eric talks to Belle outside Dotcom. Eric visits Sami. He tells her he doesn't want to dig up dirt on Nicole and that he doesn't know anything. Greta talks to Alice, but John arrives looking for answers. He takes Greta to the crematorium where everyone tries to decide who the body is. They decide to do DNA tests. Nicole tells Eric she deliberately destroyed their relationship to save him. Eric stops by to see John who tells him that the body could be Gina's. Greta decides to rent "Nicole's friend's apartment". She blindfolds Eric and drives him there. Eric tells Greta that it is Nicole's old apartment.

13. January 28th - February 4th 2000
January 28th and the start of February 1st are poor quality.

Eric and Greta go to the crematorium for the DNA results which prove the body is Gina's. Eric comforts Greta. They go back to her apartment where Eric keeps having memories of Nicole. Bo and Shawn visit Greta asking what Gina told her. Eric brings Greta a housewarming gift; a photo taken from her mother's chateau. Greta talks to Lily while Eric argues with Nicole. Nicole tells Eric he won a photography award. They go to the Blue Note to celebrate. Greta and Lily also go there. Nicole sees them and pretends to have something in her eye, resulting in Eric getting close to have a look which Greta witnesses.

14. February 9th - February 24th 2000
The end of February 9th is poor quality. From February 18th, episodes are from a mix of 2nd generation pal and pal with subtitles.

Lily visits Greta. Abe talks to Eric about Brandon and Nicole. Eric arrives at the apartment and Lily leaves. He gives her a photo of the two of them together. Greta tells Eric she wants to break up. He doesn't want to and eventually manages to convince her. They, along with other Salemites, plan to return to France to bury Gina and look for Hope. Greta shares a memory with Eric in the park. Eric and Greta run into Nicole and Lucas at Tuscany. Everyone boards the plane to France. Greta tells a sleeping Eric that she thinks she loves him. Later, Mimi watches them kissing.

15. February 24th - March 7th 2000
Mostly from pal with subtitles, with some scenes from 2nd generation pal.

John announces there is a bomb on board the plane! The plane door is blown open and Greta risks her life to close it and save everyone else. Eric and Shawn go with John to disarm the bomb. Everyone evacuates the plane and swims to shore. On the island, Greta tells Eric she feels at home. She remembers living in the bayou. They decide to go for a swim in the lagoon and kiss (a lot). They are interrupted by something floating in the water; princess Gina's corpse. Shawn is angry at Greta for keeping secrets.

16. March 7th - March 21st 2000
March 7th is from pal with subtitles.

Eric and Greta watch the talentshow. After being rescued, John insists they go back to the chateau. Eric and Greta visit Gina's old headstone. Everyone gathers round for Gina's burial. As they lower the casket it falls open and the body falls out. Everyone leaves the chateau but head back when they see smoke coming from it. Eric rushes in to the burning building to help look for Hope, but is carried out by John after he is knocked on the head. Hope and Stefano are rescued just in time.

17. March 22nd - March 31st 2000

At a newsstand Eric sees a copy of Bella magazine with Nicole on the cover. At a cafe, while Lily says goodbye to Greta, Eric has a vision of Nicole. When Greta returns to the table, Eric pulls her down and kisses her. Greta is embarrassed with the PDA and says it scares her when he looks at her like that. Eric and Greta go back to Gina's grave where they find Kurt with Gina's dug-up corpse. On the plane home, Greta is jealous of the flight attendent joking with Eric. Eric and Greta have a picnic in the park before going to Hope's welcome home party. Austin bumps into Greta at Dotcom (literally). Eric talks to Sami who asks him to fall in love with Nicole again.

18. April 3rd - April 20th 2000

Sami asks Eric if he is still in love with Nicole and asks again for his help. Eric and Greta plan a romantic evening in. They decide to rent Greta's favorite movie; Snow White. Greta chats with Austin at Dotcom. Eric tries again to get through to Nicole. Eric arrives at Greta's but her cooking attempt has failed. They decide to go out to eat instead. They go to Tuscany and overhear Nicole and Lucas arguing. Later, Nicole stops by Eric's and says she'll do whatever she can to help Sami get custody of Will. Meanwhile, Greta helps Austin to unpack. They stop by to see Eric while Nicole hides in his room.

19. April 20th - May 10th 2000

Sami tells Eric that to help her he needs to sleep with Nicole. At a photoshoot, Eric sees Nicole in the model's place. Greta overhears Eric complimenting Nicole. Greta and Austin talk at the pub. Eric helps Sami pack up her stuff to move. Henderson tells them that he saw Roberto at a strip club the night he supposedly shot Franco. Greta gives Austin a lift to the airport. He tries to kiss her on the cheek but she turns her head and they kiss on the lips. Nicole tells Eric she's ready to tell him why she married Lucas. She tells him about her childhood and her father.

20. May 10th - May 29th 2000

Greta talks to Lucas. Before Nicole can tell Eric her big secret, Greta shows up. Eric and Nicole meet later and go to the strip club to continue their conversation in private. Sami and Roman also go to the club to investigate the lead from Henderson. When he sees Eric they argue. Eric goes to Greta's apartment and tells her they belong together. Things heat up but Greta stops before they have sex. Greta cooks frozen pizza instead. The next morning, Greta brings the leftovers to Eric. They decide to go to Green Mountain Lodge. On the way they stop at a diner where Eric gets into a fight defending Greta. They dance at the lodge before spotting Nicole and Lucas there too.

21. May 29th - June 21st 2000

Eric and Greta have a nice breakfast at the lodge. They decide to leave to get away from Nicole and Lucas. Greta wonders if she should sleep with Eric. Back in Salem Place, Eric runs into Nicole. Greta talks to Lucas at Dotcom. They go to Sami's so that Lucas can say goodnight to Will. Sami jumps to the wrong conclusion and gets angry with Lucas. Eric and Greta side with Lucas. Eric and Greta talk to Austin at the Blue Note. Nicole arrives and passes out. Eric takes her to the hospital and leaves without saying goodbye to Greta. Greta is angry with Eric and ignores his answering machine message. Austin stops by to see her. Eric talks to Sami at the hospital. He wonders if Nicole could be pregnant.

22. June 22nd - July 13th 2000

Lucas walks in on Nicole asking Eric to hold her. Greta chats to Belle and Chloe at Dotcom. Eric and Greta argue. He goes to the video store to buy Snow White for Greta. In the X-rated section he sees a video called "Locker Room Lolita" with Nicole on the cover! Eric goes to the police station and shows Roman the video. Eric and Lucas argue. Eric meets with a porn producer to try and find out information about Nicole's past. Eric talks to Austin at the pub. Greta hangs out at Austin's apartment. Eric asks Roman for his help, knowing that Nicole was underage when she made the video.

23. July 13th - July 21st 2000
A mix of pal with subtitles and 2nd generation SP pal. July 13th has some crackles on the sound.

Eric and Greta kiss and make up. She tells him she's "ready" but then changes her mind. Nicole calls Eric and asks to meet at the park where he tells her he knows about the movie. Austin stops by to see Greta. Eric breaks into the video warehouse and finds the raw footage from Locker Room Lolita. He watches it and sees that Nicole's father is to blame. The next day he talks to Nicole who was at the hospital for a biopsy. They watch the footage and end up kissing. Greta and Lucas arrive so Nicole hides in the bathroom. Eric manages to get them to leave so they go for coffee. Nicole admits to Eric why she married Lucas.

24. July 21st - July 28th 2000

Nicole leads Eric to believe she has cancer. She asks him to make love to her. Afterwards Eric says what they did was wrong. Greta plays basketball with Austin. Greta sees as Nicole leaves Eric's apartment and he admits he still loves her. She confronts him. Eric and Nicole have sex again. Eric tells Roman he has decided to leave town (alone, but will be meeting up with Nicole later) but ends up hitting him when he calls Nicole a whore. Eric aplogizes to Roman and they say goodbye. He stops by to talk to Greta before leaving.

25. July 31st - August 23rd 2000
A mix of pal with subtitles and 2nd generation SP pal. Driving out of town, Eric races with a train to the crossing; He crashes. Greta saw the accident and rushes to the scene of the crash. She tells Eric she loves him. While unconscious Eric has a court hearing to decide his fate. Eric makes a miraculous recovery and is able to walk away from the crash. Eric and Greta hug. Lily arrives back in Salem and talks to Greta. Greta goes to the mansion to try and warn Lucas about Nicole, and ends up arguing with Greta. Austin and Greta talk about Nicole. Eric calls Nicole and she tells him she doesn't have cancer. Nicole says she won't leave Salem and they argue. After ending the call, Eric wonders how he'll forgive himself for what he's done.
